Welcome

My name is Roger Yamashita. I'm a web developer, designer, musician, and photographer. I specialize in front-end development and CMS integration, particularly ExpressionEngine. However, I strive to be as well rounded as I can and have experience in design and back-end development as well. I'm fluent in HTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL. Take a look around, and if you like what I do and want to hire me, feel free to send me an email.

This site is meant to be a portfolio and sort of a playground for the cool new web tricks I learn as I expand my development toolbox. If you've visited my site before, you might have noticed that I've done a major overhaul. When I first built my site I was pretty new to web development. The first iteration of this site sat on the web for about 2 years. After undertaking a major year-long project that really put me to the test and refined my skills, I thought it was time for an update. So I re-built the site from the ground up on the ExpressionEngine framework, and I hope that this powerful content management system will help me keep the site updated as I continue to learn new development techniques. I also used the Foundation responsive front-end framework so that my site is as up-to-date on web standards as possible. Check back in every once in awhile if you're interested in seeing my progress or reading my random thoughts.

- Roger
